WinterSpring Intergenerational Theatre Troupe
Theatre Troupe starts up again on January 19th, with new "director", Gina Patterson. She will guide our theatre troupe so that youth and adults will gain a broader understanding of grief and how it affects us all.
The WinterSpring intergenerational theater troupe includes adults, children and teens and features the wisdom, poignancy and humor gathered from their personal grief journeys. It is currently open to new members and offers participants a creative way to explore how people can support one another during many types of loss and grief and find healing in an ongoing creative process. It’s also lots of fun! As the only WinterSpring group that includes all ages, it can be a very meaningful experience for family members to share with each other. Theatre Troupe members will have a chance to co-create a script as they explore and process their own experiences and feelings.
The troupe is an ongoing group and meets on Thursdays, 5:30 – 7:00 in Talent to create educational theatre pieces that examine various issues of loss and grief and will eventually perform to audiences of all ages. This is a great way to learn about acting and about life. No experience necessary, the atmosphere will be supportive and relaxed for the bashful as well as the bold.
For more information call 541-552-0620 or e-mail info@winterspring.org. Pre-registration is necessary for this group.
